Ever since D'Olyfboom started hosting conferences and functions, the need for accommodation for delegates and guests has been there. Up until now we have done everything in our power to make sure our guests stay comfortably in nearby accommodation and guest houses but things are surely going to be different as of February 2017!
Yes! The team is jumping for joy because we will be able to accommodate our delegates and guests in our very own guest suites.
Guest Suites at D'Olyfboom
Because we strive to accommodate each and every guest according to his/her specific needs, we have decided to transform existing buildings on the farm into guest suites. One of the old stables as well as the Manor House were allocated for this.
D'Olyfboom is a heritage site and dates all the way back to 1693. The buildings are very well maintained but the vintage feel of this old farm goes beyond anything that can be described by words. The building of the guest suites will be happening in three phases. Phase one is nearly done and these first five guest rooms will be available from February 2017.
The five double bedrooms will have a beautiful view over Paarl valley, its mountains and its vineyards. They will be fully equipped with a coffee station and minibar, WI-Fi,a television and air conditioner. The farm is also geared with a back up generator to ensure no cold showers or unforeseen black-outs. The suites are situated about 100 meters from the conference venue. The interior will have an old "farm-stable feel" with a modern twist and promises to be very homey and welcoming.
The way forward
With the next phase, we are aiming to add an additional four attic rooms to these first five bedrooms. These rooms will overlook Paarl Mountain and our farm's beautiful vineyards.
In the near future, we are hoping to transform the whole Manor House into guest accommodation as well.
